Falon, Nerd Victorious

When I was a kid, “Nerd” was a dis. Nobody wanted to be a nerd! They weren’t cool or funny or popular. But I’m no quitter and I felt certain that if I just hung in there long enough, being a nerd would eventually become socially acceptable. And here we are baby!! Granted, I’m still not cool or popular but my nerdy hobbies and collections of random 1980’s stuff are at least considered “interesting” and a source of absolute happiness in my life.

Goonies Trading Cards? Yes!

Castle Grey Skull playset? Got it!

Fraggle Rock dolls? Done!

In my adult life, it’s been fun to collect a lot of the stuff I wanted as a kid, but was told was off limits. (Care Bears, Smurfs, She-Ra Princess of Power, etc.) None of it breaks the bank, and it makes 8 year old, inner child-JW-Falon feel a little less cheated. I encourage anyone that has the chance to reclaim a little sliver of something you missed out on as a JW kid to do it! It’s so much fun!

Behold! Castle Grey Skull, The Crystle Castle, and Snake Mountain. All part of the He-Man & The Masters of the Universe franchise from the mid-1980’s. (And Battle Cat at the bottom)

A blend of vintage & modern Care Bears. Only a fraction of my collection, and some of my favorites!
